1/3 cup melted butter
For the custard filling:

3 cups whole milk

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup cornstarch

1/4 teaspoon salt

4 large egg yolks

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
For assembly:

3 ripe bananas, sliced

1 1/2 cups heavy cream

2β3 tablespoons powdered sugar

1. Prepare the crust:

For graham cracker crust: Mix crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Press into a 9-inch pie pan and bake at 350Β°F (175Β°C) for 8β10 minutes. Let cool.

For a traditional crust: Bake a 9-inch pastry shell according to instructions until golden. Cool completely.
2. Make the custard:

In a medium saucepan, whisk sugar, cornstarch, and salt.

Slowly whisk in milk, then add egg yolks.
